Kaia's preschool class is celebrating Valentine's Day on Friday. Lucky for me the blogosphere is bursting with ideas. Here are the three I considered:
Loved the crayon idea over at thelongthread because here is a gift that can be used over and over! Alas, I don't have a heart-shaped mold. Maybe next year...
Amy over at Daily Gnome found a paper airplane template to use for her son's Valentine's day party. I love the way she packaged up the template. Totally her style.
I very nearly went with this idea I found at Sew, Mama, Sew! I loved Petunia's idea of letting her daughter draw on the back of the hearts with a fabric pen - adding her very own touch.
But, it's this idea I went with, found over at one of my favorite blogs (the pics are always marvelous), Katie Did. So cute. No sewing machine required. So, so, so easy. AND wearable. You DO something with it! I really wanted to add my own touch but just couldn't gather up the energy to do so (it's been a tough week 'round here). So I just copied her idea and loved every, easy minute of it.
And it felt good. No, great. To make it work as Tim Gunn would insist. And make it work, I did.
